Learning at home with Our Support.

Some young people find school difficult for many different reasons.

They might have been through past or recent trauma, feel very anxious or upset, find it hard to trust adults, or have special educational needs that are not fully supported yet.

Learning through our care uses the safe relationships, routines and trust that already exist at home to help them learn and build confidence, so they can move back into education in a positive way.

Our education and care teams plan together and share information so that learning feels joined up and supportive for each young person.

The work they do will link directly to the goals in the young person’s EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan) and PEP (Personal Education Plan), and will include key skills and knowledge from the main school subjects.

This might involve hands-on activities, preparation for adult life, educational trips, or chances to get involved in the local community.
